The T Zone: What You Need to Know | Men's Skincare Tips

What is the T-Zone?

The "T-Zone" is the part of your face that:

  1. Has your forehead, nose, and chin (draw a big T on your face)
  2. Is front-and-center for people looking at you
  3. The most likely for oil and acne buildup

The T-Zone area produces more oil for a very simple reason: It has more oil glands. Even for people with dry skin, you'll likely produce more oil in this area than on other parts of your face.

Why is the T-Zone important for acne?

The T-Zone can become problematic for oil- or acne-prone people because their skin tends to overproduce sebum (oil) naturally. Sebum is an oily, waxy substance produced by your body's sebaceous glands that coats, moisturizes, and protects your skin.

The T-Zone can be a much bigger issue when you're younger, as your skin does naturally dry out as you age.

What this means is that if you're dealing with acne or face shine, especially in warmer months, it's likely oil coming from your T-Zone and your T-Zone is more likely to be shiny.

Keep in mind that some people can have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks – that's called combination skin. If that's the case with your skin then be sure to use separate products for your T-zone and your cheeks. You don't want to dry out your cheeks while clearing up the acne and blackheads in your T-zone

Here's the 3-Step Solution to getting rid of your problems in this area, and looking great:

STEP ONE: Use FRONTMAN Fresh to clean off your face twice a day

Fresh wipes away buildup of oil and dirt both produced by your skin and that gets stuck on it from your daily goings-on of the day. Keeping your face clean with more than just soap and water is key.

STEP TWO: Use FRONTMAN Papers to dab away oil from the T-Zone once you notice oil starting to form.

The charcoal in papers both absorbs deeply, giving you time until you need to dab again.

STEP THREE: Use FRONTMAN Fade on breakouts and red bumps in the area to instantly hide any immediate problems.

Fade's pigment camouflages the area instantly while the active ingredients super-treat the underlying problem.
